A Letter From GReg

Dear friends of the World Archery family,

It is an honor to formally put forth my candidacy for President of World Archery, along with this manifesto—one that reflects both my journey and the aspirations of our global community.

Growing up in a family with over a century-long legacy in archery shaped my life and helped define who I am today. My journey in the sport spans competing as an athlete; serving on the boards of USA Archery and World Archery; acting as Technical Delegate for Rio 2016; leading the LOC at five acclaimed international archery events; and managing global archery businesses and foundations.

This work has taken me far beyond the U.S., with professional experience living and working in ten cities, five countries, across four of the five continental associations. Each role has given me a broader perspective and prepared me to serve a sport that thrives on global collaboration and shared purpose.

Through archery and work experience, I have come to understand both the challenges and the opportunities World Archery faces and I value the powerful role World Archery can play when we collaborate across our global community.

I have learned that effective leadership is not about having all the answers, but about building and empowering a strong team that reflects our shared values and serves the partners who shape and sustain our sport.

If elected, I will not take the remuneration associated with the role. Instead, those funds will be redirected to support enhanced staffing and services for our Member Associations. I will be an engaged and active President—with a clear priority to building a high-performing team at World Archery, working in close partnership with you to deliver meaningful results that matter to athletes, organizers, and Member Associations alike.

This manifesto reflects insights I have gained through hundreds of conversations with Member Associations, athletes, organizers, and partners. I look forward to continuing this dialogue with you as we build World Archery’s next chapter together.

With respect and gratitude,

Greg Easton
