I recently met with Jaime Nieto Sánchez, President of the Madrid Archery Federation, Spain’s largest regional federation. With 20+ years of experience, Jaime has led the Madrid Archery Development Center since 2009, producing elite athletes and national team coaches for Spain and the U.S.

His passion for youth development is unmistakable. Hearing him speak about kids who started at 11 or 12 and grew into world-class athletes shows the deep impact of his work.

This kind of grassroots dedication reflects the foundation I believe World Archery’s future can grow from. Jaime’s focus on long-term athlete development and sustainable local systems aligns with my vision to strengthen regional leadership to grow our sport.
