Paris, France — Fédération Française de Tir à l'Arc

During my visit to Paris, I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Julien Mergret, President of the Fédération Française de Tir à l'Arc (FFTA), and his dedicated team. We had meaningful conversations about the future of our sport, athlete development, and the evolving role of national federations in creating sustainable growth at all levels.

I also had the opportunity to tour INSEP, France’s elite training facility for Olympic athletes. Watching French archers train at such a high-performance center underscored the value of long-term investment in infrastructure, coaching, and athlete care. It was a powerful reminder that excellence doesn’t happen by accident it’s built through intention, vision, and unity.

The FFTA is a prime example of how tradition and innovation can work together to prepare athletes for the world stage. Their leadership is helping shape the future of archery in Europe and beyond.
